Summer Substitute for Teaching Swedish and English

Do you want the opportunity to make a difference for students learning Swedish as a second language or English to advance in their studies or become more attractive in the job market? Then this summer substitute position is for you!

At the Education and Job Center in Uppsala, approximately 130 employees from the administration work, and 2000 adult students receive their education every day. We offer various theoretical and practical training programs from SFI to high school level.

Job Description

You will plan, conduct, and follow up on lessons in Swedish as a second language at the basic level and/or English at the basic or high school level. You will also assist regular teachers with assessment and grading.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma with basic eligibility for higher education. We prefer candidates with experience teaching Swedish as a second language and/or English. If you are a teacher student with Swedish, Swedish as a second language, or English as subjects, this is also considered an advantage.

As a person, you are flexible and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You have the ability to work independently and the courage to act on your own convictions. Additionally, you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
